I design things to go on paper. Let’s work together.

POSTERS + FLYERS
Invitations, flyers and posters
The Northern Indiana Mountain Bike Association (NIMBA) maintains five single track mountain bike trails in the Michiana region. The organization leads two group rides a week during the season, holds monthly meetings and sponsors timed races for all levels of riders at each trail during the summer, culminating in the 5 Trail Challenge, which challenges racers to complete all five trails in one to two days over the weekend.
NIMBA needed a poster/postcard/rack card to promote its events at local bike stores in the tri-state region, at trailheads and where interested riders might gather. In 2018, NIMBA added Bikes + Brats to its summer monthly meetings.
Each year the Boys and Girls Club of St Joseph County, Indiana, nominates an outstanding youth member of the Club to be mentored by a community leader. As part of the year’s activities, the mentor holds events to raise funds to provide memberships to children and support the programming offered by the local Boys and Girls Club. In 2017, Jason Hunter, a history teacher at Stanley Clark School, was chosen as a mentor and asked me to create posters to advertise two of his events. Hunter’s Heroes was the unifying theme for the variety of events Jason held leading up to the April “Greatest Kids” celebration. Jason’s team raised the most amount of money for the 2017 event.
The Near Northwest Neighborhood, Inc. (NNN) is a community development corporation working to ensure the lasting success of their community by positively impacting housing, organizing neighbors, and promoting the neighborhood, which consists of four historical districts, parks, and river views on the edge of bustling downtown South Bend. In addition to a garden walk, community clean up days, the NNN hosts an annual community gathering where they highlight homes they have completed or are in the process of renovating. Local artisans, food vendors and musicians round out the festive atmosphere.
The Music Village is a non profit, community musical arts school offering lessons in a wide variety of instruments, voice and dance/movement to all ages. TMV also sponsors weekly jams, swing dance gatherings and community concerts. I worked with the founding director to establish a consistent brand identity.
The center poster hangs in the South Bend Brew Werks helping to promote their Beer4Good community program. Each time a customer purchases one of their craft beers they get a cap to drop in one of three jars under the posters, which is a donation to that community partner. This poster has frequently raised more donations for TMV over the years it’s been up. You can see the poster at their website here: www.southbendbrewwerks.com/beer4good.
South Bend Animal Care and Control is responsible for upholding city codes regarding dogs, cats, wildlife, animal bites, and pet licensing. They have worked hard to increase the number of animals fostered, adopted and transferred to no kill rescues. They do community education, service and programs. The city department partners with a private rescue to hold a summer camp for local school age children to teach them the responsibility of owning a pet in a fun environment. The two designs above are the final and semi final designs for the first year’s camper shirts. The department also participates in fundraisers. A several-year-long campaign involved creating calendars featuring the stories of dogs and cats rescued by members of the community or who had come through SBACC’s facilities.
